Nigel Hutchinson
Managing Director
Nigel has been with the company since 1992, and now occupies the position of managing director. He has been part of the company's evolution from a small enterprise, into the modern manufacturer that Paddock is today and his passion for manufacturing and engineering is as strong today as it was 20 years ago.
He attributes his success to plenty of hard work and a steely determination to “win!” Nigel also states that you can’t do these things alone, and has assembled a strong, supportive & dynamic management team around him to continue with the company's development, and ensure its long term success.
Despite leading by example, he supports West Bromwich Albion! He’s a family man and enjoys time with his lovely wife Kerry and two daughters, Fay & Emilee.
Eric Holt
Operations Director
Eric ensures that Paddock Operations has a “can do” customer facing attitude and that there are efficient processes and well trained people to fulfil this vision. He has 20 years experience at board level and an in depth understanding (and track record) of achieving continuous business improvement in the Automotive and FMCG sectors.
A keen sportsman who’s not keen on losing, Eric plays tennis, squash and golf (not at the same time).
Ethos: Never be complacent, never stand still, things can always be done better.
Stuart Carpenter
Technical Director
Stuart is head of the Technical Department, his objectives include leadership of new product development from concept to conclusion. This includes providing bespoke solutions to customer’s technical problems as well as design and development and evolution of generic type hardware products. His skills have been developed over the 26 years within the industry.
He has a passion for Rugby union and has represented Greater Birmingham on a couple of occasions. Unfortunately (due mainly to age!), he no longer plays but keeps involved by coaching mini rugby at a local club on Sunday mornings.

Andy Nicholls
Purchasing Director
Andy is responsible for the groups global supply chain, its effective sourcing and supply chain strategies, applying best practice sourcing procedures and working within set budget's and KPI controls.
Andy has over 24 years experience in purchasing at all levels, of which 14 years have been served at Paddock and over 8 years spent buying computer hardware.
He has a strong passion for all sport, particularly golf (both playing and watching) and for his sins, is a keen supporter of Aston Villa!
Ethos: Purchasing is not just buying to best practices, but building partnerships with suppliers for everyone’s long term success!
Paul Atkinson
Sales Director
Paul has been Sales Director since 2005 and leads the sales team in maintaining an input of new business, thus maintaining growth. He has been a salesman all his life, starting at the tender age of 14. Whilst his peers were busy on their paper rounds, Paul was already showing leadership potential, selling fruit and vegetables in both retail and wholesale markets.
As if the pressure’s and responsibilities of being Sales Director weren’t enough, in his spare time, Paul loves nothing better than to participate in a spot of Freediving which, for those who don’t know, involves diving as deep as possible without the aid of breathing apparatus!
Ethos: The hunt and winning of new business is the greatest thrill, building relationships and making longstanding business friendships is job satisfaction.
